Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator – Full Time Jellybabies
Early Learning Centre – Sunshine Beach, QLD Jellybabies Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a full-time position. We are a family-owned early learning service committed to providing high-quality education and care in a welcoming, supportive and child-focused environment. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education, values positive relationships and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences for children.
About the Position
This is a full-time position working across a rotating roster. Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts within our operating hours, which may include:
Early shifts commencing at 6:30 am
Late shifts finishing at 6:30 pm
A variety of shifts between these times
Our service operates 52 weeks of the year, excluding public holidays. Applicants must therefore be available to work throughout the year, including during school holiday periods. Employment conditions and remuneration will be provided in accordance with the Children's Services Award, based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Providing high-quality education and care for children
Developing warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families
Planning and implementing engaging, play-based learning experiences
Contributing to observations, learning stories, individual learning plans and program documentation
Supporting children's wellbeing, development, agency and sense of belonging
Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard
Maintaining active supervision and ensuring children's health and safety
Supporting children through routines, transitions and daily care experiences
Working collaboratively with educators, room leaders, management and external professionals
Communicating professionally and respectfully with families
Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation
Contributing to reflective practice, continuous improvement and the service Quality Improvement Plan
Following all service policies, procedures and Child Safe Standards
Assisting with the daily setup, cleaning and maintenance of learning environments
Essential Requirements
A completed Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent qualification
At least 1 year relevant experience working in an early education and care service
A current Queensland Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or a willingness to obtain them
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
An understanding of child development and play-based learning
Knowledge of child protection responsibilities and child-safe practices
The ability to work full-time across a rotating roster between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm
