HR Advisor — Building Materials Manufacturing

Our client is a well-established, national building materials manufacturer with a robust reputation across the Australian construction industry. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their National HR & Development team.

About the Role

Reporting to the National HR & Development Supervisor, you'll be the trusted first point of contact for managers and employees across the business on all things HR, employee relations and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide practical advice to managers on performance management, misconduct, grievances and workplace concerns
Support and conduct workplace investigations with fairness and discretion
Prepare ER documentation — warnings, performance improvement plans, investigation outcomes and correspondence




Advise on the interpretation and application of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation
Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations and broader industrial relations matters
Maintain compliance across employment records and workplace documentation
Identify and drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems

About You
5+ years' experience as an HR Advisor within a business of 100+ employees
Demonstrated experience in Union EBA negotiations
Solid working knowledge of employment legislation and industrial relations
A hands-on, practical approach — as comfortable in the detail as you are with the bigger picture
Excellent judgement, discretion and stakeholder communication skills
Nationally recognised HR/IR qualification; MBA or postgraduate study highly regarded
