About the Role
As a Bottle Shop Retail Assistant, you'll play an significant role in creating a welcoming shopping experience while ensuring responsible service of alcohol and maintaining a well-presented store.
This is a casual position with a variety of shifts available, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Full availability is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude
Provide product recommendations and assist customers with purchases
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
Process cash and EFTPOS transactions
Receive and replenish stock
Merchandise shelves, fridges and promotional displays
Maintain store cleanliness and presentation
Monitor stock levels and report shortages
Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Work collaboratively with the wider hospitality team
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous retail, bottle shop or hospitality experience (preferred)
A current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A positive attitude and solid work ethic
Reliable transport and punctuality
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confidence handling cash and operating POS systems
The ability to lift and move cartons safely
Full availability across a 7-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
