About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for aTechnical Sales & Support Specialistto become a trusted technical adviser to researchers, clinicians and laboratory professionals.
This is primarily aninside salesrole, with customer relationships developed predominantly through telephone, email and video conferencing, complemented by occasional customer visits, demonstrations, installations, training and scientific conferences.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Responding to customer enquiries and understanding their scientific and technical requirements
Recommending appropriate scientific equipment, software and laboratory solutions
Preparing quotations and managing customer opportunities from initial enquiry through to completion
Building long-term relationships with customers, end users and international supplier partners
Coordinating demonstrations, installations and customer training, both remotely and on-site
Continually learning new technologies,
products and their scientific applications
Success in this role isn't about being the smartest scientist in the room.
It's about listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, understanding customer needs and helping researchers achieve better outcomes.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related field
1-3+ years of experience in scientific equipment, laboratory environments or scientific sales roles
Experience working with researchers, clinicians, laboratory professionals or similar technical audiences
Strong communication skills, high integrity and a genuine curiosity to learn and continuously grow
Exposure to scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment, photonics or related technical technologies
Background in customer service, applications support, laboratory research or technical training ishighly regarded
Experience with scientific instrumentation, photonics, imaging technologies, or optical instrumentation ishighly regarded
