The Ivy for Hair is seeking anExperienced Senior Stylistto join our talented team in Buderim, QLD.
This is afull-time positionoffering an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire within our salon whilst delivering exceptional hair styling services to our valued clientele.
As a Senior Stylist, you will be at the forefront of our salon's commitment to excellence, combining technical expertise with creative vision to create stunning transformations for our clients.
This role carries significant responsibility in maintaining the high standards The Ivy for Hair is known for, whilst also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall success and culture of our salon.
What you'll be doing
Delivering bespoke hair styling services including cuts, colour, treatments and styling, tailored to individual client needs and preferences
Maintaining an exceptional standard of technical skill and creative artistry across all services provided
Building and nurturing long-term client relationships through outstanding customer service and personalised attention
Mentoring and supporting junior stylists, providing guidance, training and constructive feedback to help them develop their skills
Contributing to the development and implementation of current styling techniques, trends and salon initiatives
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and qualified salon environment in accordance with industry standards and salon protocols
Staying current with the latest hair trends, techniques and industry best practices through continued professional development




Supporting the salon's commercial objectives through efficient time management and maximising client satisfaction and retention
Assisting with training, consultation and product recommendations to enhance the client experience
What we're looking for
A minimum of 7 years' experience working as a professional hairdresser or stylist, with a significant portion of this at a senior or lead level
Formal qualifications in hairdressing or related hair and beauty services recognised within Australia
Advanced technical expertise in a wide range of hair services including cutting, colouring, treatments and styling
Proven experience in mentoring and supporting junior or less experienced stylists
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
A creative eye with an understanding of current trends, colour theory and styling techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and hygiene
Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude that reflects the values of The Ivy for Hair
Experience with salon management systems and point-of-sale technology is advantageous
