We are looking for a qualified Sheetmetal Trades Worker to join our growing team.
This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and on-site installation of sheet metal products, with a strong focus on HVAC ductwork installation, someone who can do marks out, shapes, forms and joins Sheetmetal and other materials to make products and components.
Key Responsibilities
Shaping cut metal pieces into finished products using presses, rollers
Repairing damaged sheet metal products
Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and job specifications
Measure, cut, fold, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools
Fabricate sheet metal components including HVAC ducts, fittings, panels, and flashings
Install ductwork systems on-site, ensuring correct alignment, sealing, and support
Assemble and fix sheet metal components using bolts, rivets,



welding, or other methods
Ensure all duct installations meet project requirements and Australian standards
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper airflow performance
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal) or equivalent
Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker, preferably in HVAC projects
Experience in duct fabrication and duct installation
Ability to read and work from drawings and plans
Valuable knowledge of tools, machinery, and installation techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Understanding of WHS requirements
Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently on-site
