The Mawson Club, a leading hospitality provider, is seeking a talented and dedicated Duty Manager to join our team in Canberra, ACT.
As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our prestigious club.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
What you'll be doing
Supervising and coordinating the work of front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience
Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, delivering prompt and effective resolutions
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Participating in the planning and execution of special events and functions
Providing leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Maintaining accurate records and reports on daily operations
What we're looking for




Experience in a similar Duty Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Minimum 6-12 months of duty manager or supervisory experience in hospitality is required
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers, staff, and stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations within the hospitality industry
Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience
Australian work authorisation is required for this position
