An opportunity
has arisen for a Supervisor to join our professional, supportive and friendly team in our modern offices located at 41 Exhibition Street (41X).
The Supervisor role is responsible for:
Working with the client partner to manage a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries
Using technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver Annual Statutory Financial Statements, tax returns, and reconciliations, for companies, partnerships, trusts and Self Managed Super Funds from start to finish including billings.
Preparing taxation returns for individuals and organisations
Prepare logical and accurate working papers
Preparing and lodging BAS's, IAS, FBT Returns by the due dates
Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
Supervise & support team members and promote a positive team environment.
Providing guidance and support to junior team members, through quality feedback and review, coaching and delegation.
Attend client meetings with Partner
Attending staff training sessions and other specified training to improve skills and techniques. Present training sessions to staff from time to time.
About you:
We want to hear from enthusiastic people who have:
5 years or more in relevant experience within an accounting practice
Previous experience mentoring and coaching graduates and junior team members (preferable)
Bachelors degree or higher qualification and be CA qualified (or near completion)
Well developed communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent time management and personal organization skills.
Have exceptional customer service skills and a positive "can do attitude"
Have excellent presentation
Experiences in using MYOB AO/AE Practice Manager would be highly regarded, although not essential. If you have used XPM, APS or other accounting software, that too will be considered
Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams
High attention to detail
Natural ability to work within a team setting; and
Proactive nature and ability to work autonomously
Committed to self-development and have ambitions for yourself and team members.
