We are seeking an experiencedSupply and Demand Plannerto join our Operations team.
This role is responsible for managing forecasting, inventory planning, purchasing, and product availability to ensure products are delivered to customers on time and in full.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to optimise inventory levels, manage demand forecasts, and support supply chain performance across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
Manage demand planning and SAP forecasting activities across Australia and New Zealand.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and customer service levels.
Perform daily purchasing and procurement activities e.g. 3rd party onboarding evaluation, supplier risk management, SIFOT measurable, account management.
Analyse sales trends, market demand, and supply constraints to develop accurate forecasts.
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly forecasting and inventory performance reports.
Drive the national fortnightly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) meetings, facilitating cross-functional alignment between Sales, Marketing & Operations.
Liaise with the Phoenix Contact global supply chain community regarding product availability, order status, supply risks, inventory management, and service performance.
Monitor and report key supply chain KPIs including forecast accuracy, inventory performance, lead times, and stock availability.




Coordinate inbound Air and Sea freight supply chains from Phoenix Contact's global production and distribution network.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across forecasting, planning, inventory, and supply chain processes.
About You
Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Management, or S&OP.;
Strong SAP experience, ideally S4/ Hanna ECC6 and / or SAP APO.
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, automation, or distribution environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning meetings and influence stakeholders.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Understanding of international supply chains, inventory management, and freight operations is highly desirable.
Location & Working Requirements/Arrangements
Phoenix Contact Australia's Head Office is in Parramatta NSW, with our National Logistics Hub based in Eastern Creek.
This role requires regular collaboration with both office-based and operational teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to work from our Eastern Creek facility a minimum of three days per week to maintain close alignment with warehouse operations, inventory management activities, and supply chain execution.
