About the Role
As Orchard Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance of the orchard, leading the delivery of operational, production and financial objectives while fostering a high-performing and safety-focused culture.
Working closely with our agronomy and operational teams, you will drive orchard productivity, oversee key farming activities, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of orchard production, including horticultural operations, harvesting and on-farm processing




Partner with the technical agronomy team to develop and implement orchard strategies
Develop and manage operational and capital budgets
Monitor and report on key performance indicators and business outcomes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and on-farm projects
Maximise asset utilisation and operational efficiency
Lead, mentor and develop a skilled workforce
Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with all workplace requirements
Manage contractors and external service providers on site
About You
You are a hands-on leader who combines strong horticultural knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent people management skills.
Essential Requirements
5+ years' experience within permanent cropping systems, including tree nuts, vineyards, citrus, pome fruit, stone fruit or similar horticultural operations
Previous leadership experience within agriculture or horticulture
Robust understanding of horticultural production systems
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
Sound computer and reporting skills
Current driver's licence
Desirable Experience
Experience managing budgets, operational planning and continuous improvement projects
Knowledge of large-scale orchard production systems
