About Us
Youeil Plus is a growing multidisciplinary consultancy delivering high-quality projects across NSW. Our services include Building Design, Town Planning, Development Management and Building Consultancy, with a strong focus on providing an integrated service to our clients.
As our business continues to grow, we are establishing our own Structural Engineering division and are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead its development.
This is a unique prospect for someone who enjoys both technical engineering and leadership. You will work directly with the Director to establish engineering systems, manage projects and help shape the future of the department.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking for flexibility, or someone wanting to play a key role in building a growing engineering team without the immediate commitment of a full-time position.
About the Role
As the Lead Structural Engineer, you will oversee the delivery of structural engineering projects while helping establish and grow our engineering capability.
Initially, the role will involve approximately ***** hours per week, with the opportunity to increase as the engineering division expands.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver structural engineering designs and documentation across a range of projects.
Design residential, commercial and industrial structures, including:
Retaining walls
Custom homes




Duplexes
Secondary dwellings
Townhouses
Residential Flat Buildings
Commercial developments
Industrial warehouses
Prepare structural calculations, reports and supporting documentation.
Review and quality assure engineering documentation.
Manage engineering projects from commencement through to completion.
Prepare fee proposals, quotations and engineering scopes.
Liaise with clients, architects, building designers, town planners, builders, certifiers and other consultants.
Develop engineering standards, templates and quality assurance procedures.
Provide technical guidance and support to future graduate and junior engineers.
Work closely with the Director to help grow the engineering division.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects and wants to help build something long-term.
You will ideally have:
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 8–10 years' structural engineering experience.
Experience delivering Australian residential and commercial projects.
Solid understanding of timber, steel, concrete and masonry design.
Experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
Experience preparing fee proposals and pricing engineering work.




Strong communication and client management skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Highly Regarded
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
NER Registration.
Experience mentoring graduate engineers.
Existing relationships within the NSW construction industry.
Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
SpaceGass
ETABS
RAPT
RAM Concept
AutoCAD
Revit
Bluebeam
Microsoft Office Suite
