REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST - DYNAMIC MULTIDISCIPLINARY PAEDIATRIC PRACTICE

The Child Development Clinic is growing, and we are looking for a team-minded clinician to join our space. This role offers a fantastic balance of managing your own rewarding paediatric caseload while actively teaching, educating and supporting our early-career provisional psychologists as they develop their skills.

Our clinic specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with:
ADHD
Specific Learning Difficulties
Behavioural concerns
Anxiety and Depressive Disorders
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will enjoy a mix of hands-on clinical work and a natural step into peer mentoring. Your day-to-day duties will include:
Peer Support: Providing clinical guidance and reviewing psychometric reports and formulations for our provisional psychologists in a supportive, collaborative way.
Assessments and Diagnosis: Performing psychometric assessments,



including cognitive testing (WISC-V) and achievement testing, to diagnose and support neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
Therapy and Intervention: Providing evidence-based individual and group therapy for children and adolescents (e.g., CBT, ACT and/or family-based interventions).
Holistic Care: Collaborating with parents, carers, schools and our internal medical team to support consistency across settings.
Clinical Practice: Maintaining accurate, timely clinical records and demonstrating a strong commitment to evidence based practice and ongoing professional learning

SELECTION CRITERIA
AHPRA Registration: Current General Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (essential).
Experience: 2 to 3 years of post-registration experience, ideally within a paediatric or educational setting.
Assessment Skills: Competent in administering the WISC-V and writing comprehensive psychometric reports.
Compliance: A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Positive Mindset: An enthusiastic, approachable manner and a genuine desire to collaborate within a connected multidisciplinary team.
