Proline Building Commercial is seeking an experienced
Tower Crane Operator and Dogman
to join our dynamic team on a
full-time or contract basis
. This is a critical position on our construction sites, based in
Concord, NSW ****
. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tower cranes and performing dogman duties, ensuring the smooth movement and placement of materials and equipment across our construction project. Your expertise and attention to safety will be fundamental to the success of our operations and the wellbeing of our team members.
Key responsibilities
Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures
Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and associated equipment to identify and report any defects or maintenance requirements
Communicate effectively with dogmen, site supervisors and other personnel using radio communications and hand signals
Perform dogman duties including rigging, slinging and securing loads, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
Guide and direct the movement of materials, equipment and personnel from the ground as required
Maintain accurate records of crane operations and any incidents or near-misses
Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and actively contribute to a safety-focused culture on site
Assist with the coordination and planning of crane schedules with site management
Perform routine cleaning of crane and rigging equipment
What we're looking for
Current and valid High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for Tower Crane operation (or equivalent)
Current and valid Dogman or Rigging certification appropriate to your state




Minimum 2+ years' proven experience operating tower cranes on commercial construction projects
Demonstrated competency and experience in performing dogman duties including rigging, slinging and load securing
Robust understanding of load charts, weight calculations and safe working practices
Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly in a team environment
A proven commitment to workplace health and safety with a strong safety record
Physical fitness and ability to work
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly as project demands require
Knowledge of construction industry practices and site protocols
