Bookkeeper for a National Hospitality Company

We own and operate backpacker hostels, hotels and pubs in Cairns, Brisbane, Magnetic Island, Sydney and Melbourne. We have a robust and supportive team and we would like a well rounded and energetic team member to join our Head Office in Sydney. There is a position available to look after the day to day bookkeeping for the company, including reconciling, payroll, accounts payable and other Xero functions.

Working from our Darlinghurst office, this position is to support the group accountant with day to day operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

Ability to work autonomously in a busy, rapid-paced workplace

Responsibilities

Bank reconciliations

BAS preparation and lodgment

Payroll management

Manage accounts payable/receivable activities

Monthly financial reporting

Handle accounts enquiries over the phone
