The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with our architects, construction managers, and external contractors to turn design concepts into comprehensive, accurate construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing preliminary sketches, detailed working drawings, and project specifications from initial concepts.
Interpreting architectural plans, building regulations, and statutory codes of practice to ensure full compliance.
Preparing, editing, and systematically revising plans, maps, charts, and construction drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Assisting construction managers, architects, and surveyors in project planning, site organisation,



and timeline management.
Coordinating work programs and liaising with builders and external contractors to ensure design accuracy.
Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
Skills and Experience Required
Qualifications:
An AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or a related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in architectural software such as AutoCAD / Revit / ArchiCAD / SketchUp.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and local Australian building regulations.
Attributes:
Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
