FairWind are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Banyo.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this is a pivotal role for a highly motivated, technically astute Senior Accountant to join the team in an exciting stage of growth across the APAC region.
This role is for a strong Senior Accountant to join an experienced corporate with multi-entity exposure, this position provides the opportunity for exposure across the region working under various financial governance models.
In this role, you will serve as the technical anchor for the group's financial reporting processes. While managing compliance, tax, and group entity consolidations you will also play a key role in ensuring the day to day business is efficient and transparent. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to flex your muscles in commercial accounting, capital management, and strategic forecasting.
This hands-on position requires someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activities, month-end reporting, and financial compliance, while also helping strengthen processes, controls, and the overall capability of the finance function.
About The Role
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records
Mange the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Review and support with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting activities.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
Prepare and submit tax returns, including payroll tax, and other regulatory filings as applicable
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve business performance
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
Mentor, and provide guidance to the APAC Finance and Project Management Teams
About You
This position will suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy and discipline to a finance function, while also being confident working across both technical accounting and commercial analysis.
You will be comfortable building financial models in Excel, interpreting accounting standards, preparing reports and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
You will have direct experience working within or with stakeholders throughout the APAC region.
Candidate Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years' experiencein accounting/finance
Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant designation (CA ANZ or CPA)
Mandarin literacy well regarded
Solid understanding ofaccounting principles (IFRS/GAAP)
High attention to detail and solid organisational skills
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
