A leading Sydney-based university is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join a high-performing Procurement Services team on a long-term contract through to March 2027. This is an excellent prospect for someone with procurement operations, purchasing, transactional procurement, procurement support, or procurement administration experience within a large and complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Process procurement and transactional purchasing activities accurately and efficiently
Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding procurement processes and systems
Manage supplier and stakeholder enquiries while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements
Support reporting, documentation management, data integrity, and process improvement initiatives




Assist with operational procurement activities across a high-volume workplace
Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain service delivery standards and compliance obligations

About You:
Experience within procurement, purchasing, vendor management, procurement operations, or transactional services
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work accurately
Experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated settings
Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
Comfortable working with procurement systems, CRMs, ERP platforms, or finance systems
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and governance requirements
Higher education or government experience is highly regarded
