We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. Up to 20 hours a week (3-4 days) and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on offer.

We are a small but busy General Practice based in Morpeth. We are a dedicated close administration team working closing with the doctors. We have a relaxed working setting with a reputation for our professionalism and compassion.
This is a casual role that will involve providing administrative support to our busy medical practice. As part of your role you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused environment and contribute to the smooth running of our operations.
What you'll be doing:
Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Assisting with patient record management and data entry
Handling incoming phone calls and correspondence
Providing general administrative support to the practice team
Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
Medicare and Patient billing (Tyro System)




Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
Requirements:
Experience in medical reception is not essential but an advantage
Experience using Best Practice is not essential but an advantage
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
Must have ability to be flexible with working hours
Exceptional work ethic and the want to be part of a team
Reliability and punctuality

Confidentiality is a must
Willingness to obtain CPR Certificate and Triage Training
Our clinic is open from 8am till 6.30pm. Shifts on offering are both opening shifts and closing shifts.
