Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We're looking for an experienced Yardperson to join a well-established, Australian-owned steel manufacturing business based in Acacia Ridge.
If you're confident on a forklift, know your way around steel products and aren't afraid of a bit of hard work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! You'll be joining a supportive team where safety, reliability and getting the job done right are genuinely valued.
What You'll Be Doing
Your days will be varied, but you'll be responsible for:
Operating forklifts to safely load, unload and move steel and other materials
Loading trailers and handling awkward, oversized and challenging freight
Managing stock, completing cycle counts and keeping inventory accurate
Checking incoming and outgoing materials to make sure everything is up to standard
Keeping the yard organised, tidy and secure
Working closely with the wider team to make sure everything runs smoothly
What We're Looking For




We're looking for someone who:
Holds a current LF Forklift Licence
Has previous experience working with steel products or within the steel industry
Is confident loading trailers with different types of freight, including oversized loads
Understands stock control, receipting and dispatch processes
Is reliable, hands-on and takes pride in doing a good job
Works well as part of a team and has a strong commitment to safety
