As a General Practice Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our GPs and providing high-quality nursing care to patients across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with current clinical guidelines and skilled standards.
Conduct patient assessments and clinical observations.
Administer vaccinations (childhood, adult, travel and seasonal influenza).
Assist with chronic disease management and care planning.
Perform wound care, dressings and suture removal.
Assist with minor surgical procedures.
Conduct ECGs, spirometry and other diagnostic procedures.
Provide health education and preventative health advice.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Best Practice software.
Manage infection prevention and control procedures.
Maintain vaccine cold chain management.
Participate in quality improvement activities and accreditation requirements.
Assist with recalls, reminders and patient follow-up.
Support medical practitioners during consultations and procedures.
Ensure compliance with RACGP Standards and practice policies.
Essential Criteria
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Current CPR Certificate.
Immunisation certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Robust organisational and time management skills.
Computer literacy and experience using clinical software.
Commitment to patient-centred care.
Desirable
