Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 3:00pm
Every 2nd Friday off (RDO)
Full-time hours on a casual contract
Prospect to transition to permanent employment
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key role in maintaining critical water and sewerage infrastructure, including:
Maintenance and repair of water pumps, sewerage pumps and sewerage treatment plants
Servicing and refurbishing pumps and associated mechanical equipment
Pump fault finding and troubleshooting
Undertaking electrical maintenance work (within the scope of your Restricted Electrical Work Licence)
Supervusing a nominated apprentice on a daily basis
Assisting with apprentice training and development
Participating in a rostered on-call rotation
Working safely while delivering high-quality workmanship
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Fitter
Current Restricted Electrical Work Licence
Solid pump fault-finding and refurbishment experience
Ability to work independently and within a team
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Experience in water and sewerage maintenance (highly regarded)
Current manual C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
HR Driver’s Licence (advantageous)
Construction Industry White Card
Before you start - Successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment functional assessment to ensure they can safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
