Igknight supports people with a disability and from the aged care community.
About You :
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or equivalent.
Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services.
Position Summary :
The Managing Director has overall responsibility for the organisation's strategic direction, operational performance, financial sustainability, governance and compliance with all legal, regulatory and corporate standards.
The Managing Director leads the Executive Leadership Team in developing and implementing organisational strategy, driving innovation, ensuring continuous improvement, promoting organisational culture, and delivering high-quality services that achieve positive outcomes for participants.
The role is responsible for ensuring IgKnight remains financially sustainable, compliant with all legislative obligations, and recognised as a leader in delivering person-centred disability services.

Demonstrated compassion, empathy and professionalism.
Ability to use smartphones, tablets and electronic care management systems.
Flexibility to work across varying shifts and locations.
Minimum six months' experience within disability, aged care or community services.
Experience supporting participants with complex needs.
Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern.
Experience working within the NDIS.
Job Responsibility :
Participant Support
Deliver high-quality person-centred supports.
Promote participant choice, dignity and independence.
Support participants to achieve goals identified within their NDIS Plan.
Assist participants with activities of daily living.




Provide personal care when required.
Provide domestic assistance where required.
Support participants to safely access community activities.
Encourage skill development that promotes independence.
Support participants to build confidence and social connection
s.
Community Participation
Plan and facilitate recreational, educational and social activities.
Support participants to engage with their local community.
Assist participants to access transport and appointments.
Encourage participation in community groups and events.
Promote inclusion and community engagement.
Foster opportunities for participants to develop meaningful relationshi
ps.
Personal Care & Daily Living
Where required:
Personal hygiene
Showering and grooming
Dressing
Toileting
Medication assistance (where authorised)
Meal preparation
Household tasks
Shopping
Mobility assistance
Transfers using approved equipment
Documentation & Reporting
Complete all shift notes before the end of each shift.
Record participant progress accurately.
Report incidents, hazards and risks immediately.
Maintain accurate records in organisational systems.
Complete required documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
Maintain participant confidentiality at all times.
Communication & Teamwork
Work collaboratively with Team Leaders and other Community Mentors.
Maintain positive relationships with participants and families.
Communicate effectively with allied health professionals and external providers.
Participate in team meetings and supervision.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all organisational policies and procedures.
Comply with NDIS Practice Standards.
Follow Work Health & Safety requirements.
Apply infection prevention and control procedures.
Maintain participant dignity and privacy.
Work within qualified boundaries.
Report incidents, hazards and restrictive practices immediately.
