The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) is Australia's largest tertiary admission centre, dedicated to delivering exceptional admissions and related services to a diverse community. Supporting applicants, tertiary institutions, schools, parents, government education departments, and other bodies, UAC is driven by a shared belief in the value of education.
Our Information Technology department is an integral part of UAC's operations, ensuring the security, efficiency, and enhancement of our systems. The team spans IT Operations, Product Engineering, Business Analysis, and the Projects and Service Management Office. This collaborative environment values professionals who can contribute to UAC's digital transformation, safeguard data integrity and security, and improve operational processes.
About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and implementing projects allocated by the Head of Projects and Service Management. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, business leaders, and technical stakeholders, you'll deliver projects of varying sizes and complexities.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing multiplebusiness cases and detailed project plans.
Leading the implementation of approved projects.
Managing scope, budget, timelines, and quality specifications.
Identifying and mitigating risks while ensuring efficient resource use.




This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on UAC's strategic initiatives while collaborating with a high-performing team in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
This is a full-time, Grade 8 role 12-month Fixed Term Agreement (FTA) position with the potential for extension, offering an excellent chance for growth and professional development.
What You'll Bring
To excel in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects in multi-stakeholder environments, including exposure to infrastructure, application development, security and business projects.
Familiarity with business analysis, software development lifecycle, testing, and change management practices.
Expertise in applying project management best practices, including the use of Artificial Intelligence, standard processes, templates, and tools for consistent and effective project delivery.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
