ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Based in Inner Southern Sydney, work for your Local Council as a WHS Advisor.
You will play a vital role in the development, implementation and maintenance of Council's health and safety programs.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start for an initial 6-month contract.
You will work closely with the leaders across Council and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with WHS regulations and to further promote a safe, healthy and compliant work culture.
DUTIES.
Provide advice on WHS policies, procedures and legislation
Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits
Develop, implement and improve WHS strategies and systems for Council
Develop and support the delivery of WHS initiatives and safety programs
Conduct worksite inspections/audits and prepare reports
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Cert IV in WHS and/or extensive experience in the WHS field




Experience working in Local Council and/or Government preferred but not necessary
Demonstrated comprehensive qualified knowledge of WHS legislation and standards
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
