We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farmhand to join our avocado operations based across Tolga, Kairi and Yungaburra. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining productive orchard operations.

About the Role

This position involves a broad range of duties across our avocado farms, including:
Lifting and loading up to 25kgs
Operating tractors and conducting orchard spraying
Slashing and weed spraying
Managing fertigation and irrigation processes
Checking, maintaining and troubleshooting irrigation systems
Maintaining on farm vehicles and machinery
General farm maintenance and physical labour tasks

The role requires a robust work ethic, physical capability, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:




A valid manual driver’s licence (essential)
The physical capacity to safely perform manual labour, including regular lifting of 25kg
Experience with orchard spraying and farm machinery (preferred)
Flexibility to work across multiple base locations
The ability to work both independently and within a team
Mechanical skills will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in farming is desirable but not essential.

Pay commencing from $35 an hour casual with higher rates negotiable based on experience, attitude and work ethic.
