We are seeking an experienced Final Trim Excavator Operator to join BMI Group across multiple site operations in Brisbane and Ipswich. This role suits a skilled operator with a solid eye for detail who takes pride in precision work, safety and working as part of a high-performing team.
You will be operating good, clean and well-maintained machinery and playing a key role in delivering safe, efficient and environmentally responsible outcomes across our site operations.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional Saturdays: 6:00am – 12:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Carry out accurate final trim excavation works to specification and levels
Operate excavators safely and efficiently in a live site environment
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily targets
Maintain high standards of WHS compliance and environmental awareness
Conduct daily pre-starts and complete logbooks, checklists and running sheets
Carry out minor plant maintenance including refueling, greasing and lubrication
Maintain equipment in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition
Communicate professionally with colleagues and site personnel

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 2 years' experience operating excavators in a final trim or precision role
Experience with Top con or similar GPS programs
Proven ability to read levels and work accurately to plans or direction
Strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices
General environmental awareness
Relevant plant licences or Verification of Competency (VOC)
Confidence operating excavators safely and productively
Ability to complete accurate plant and vehicle records, including pre-starts
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
