Mechanical Fitter/ Turner
to join a busy workshop based in
Narangba
. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a reputable Australian manufacturer, working on the assembly, installation and maintenance of specialised transport and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly and fitting of specialised heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
Install hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Install pumps, valves, motors and associated equipment
Fault find and carry out mechanical repairs
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean,



organised and safe workshop
Work collaboratively with fabrication and engineering teams to meet production deadlines
About You
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
Previous experience in manufacturing, heavy engineering or industrial workshop environments
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Desirable
Current LF Forklift Licence
Dogging or Rigging Licence
Working at Heights
Confined Spaces
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence
Experience working on heavy vehicles, trailers or transport equipment
Experience within fabrication or engineering workshop environments
