Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Plumber to join our dynamic real estate operations team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties.
This role is critical in maintaining property integrity, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and supporting asset value through timely, compliant, and high-quality maintenance and repair services.
The Plumber will perform routine inspections, emergency repairs, installations, and upgrades in line with Australian plumbing regulations and industry best practices.
With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, this position plays a pivotal role in the operational excellence of our real estate portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering reliable plumbing solutions across diverse property types.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and servicing of plumbing systems in residential and commercial real estate properties.
Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, pipe corrosion, and fixture malfunctions.
Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sewage systems, hot water systems, and sanitary fixtures.
Ensure all work complies with the Plumbing Code of Australia, local council regulations, and safety standards.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing incidents, minimizing property damage and tenant disruption.
Prepare detailed work reports, maintenance logs, and service records for property management and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with property managers, contractors, and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
Source and manage plumbing materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement.
Perform water efficiency assessments and recommend upgrades to improve sustainability and reduce utility costs.
Maintain a clean, secure, and professional work environment on all job sites.
Requirements
Requirements:
Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent) with full Australian plumbing license.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial plumbing within the real estate or property management sector.
Proven track record in diagnosing and resolving complex plumbing issues efficiently and safely.
In-depth knowledge of AS/NZS plumbing standards, local council requirements, and compliance documentation.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, pipe fitting techniques, and plumbing diagnostic equipment.
Strong understanding of water conservation practices and sustainable plumbing solutions.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between properties.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
High level of accountability, time management, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
