Apollo Bay Hotel is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our high-performing kitchen team.
Located along the spectacular Great Ocean Road, our venue is a favourite with both locals and the thousands of visitors who flock to Apollo Bay each year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace and is ready to take the next step in their career.
What you'll be doing:
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead and motivate the team during busy services
Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and cost management
Train and develop junior chefs
Ensure food safety and compliance standards are consistently met
About you:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Senior Chef ready to step up
Proven experience working in high-volume kitchens
Calm under pressure with excellent time management skills
Passionate about quality food and leading by example
Strong communication and organisational skills
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
