Registered Nurse - SCN/NICU
We are seeking experienced and competent Registered Nurses – Special Care Nursery (SCN)/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Core Competencies (SCN & NICU)
Neonatal assessment and monitoring (vital signs, pain, neurological and respiratory status)
Family-centered care and communication
Infection control and aseptic technique
Accurate documentation and clinical handover (ISBAR or equivalent)
Special Care Nursery (SCN) Skills
Feeding support: breastfeeding, bottle, and nasogastric tube feeding
Thermoregulation
Basic respiratory support: low-flow oxygen, apnea monitoring
Developmental care: positioning, kangaroo care, sensory environment management
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Skills
Advanced respiratory support:



CPAP, high-flow, mechanical ventilation
IV therapy: peripheral and central line care, TPN, IV medications
Critical monitoring: blood gases, seizure recognition, cardiorespiratory monitoring
Emergency response: neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, code blue procedures
Required Certifications
Neonatal Resuscitation
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Additional Expectations
Minimum 12 months recent experience in SCN or NICU
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to ongoing career development and clinical excellence
