The Parks & Recreation Team are thesecret behind the Toowoomba Region's beautiful parks and gardens.With over **** hectares of public gardens, bushland park,sports and recreation facilities andother open space and anextensive urban forest, the Toowoomba region is well known for itsliveability and green infrastructure.
The Parks and RecreationServices Branch is responsible for planning, developing andmaintaining our beautiful green infrastructure, some of which isheritage listed, and keeping up with the strong growth across theregion.
The team is a diverse mix of approximately 200 peopleworking as labourers, gardeners, arborists, horticulturalists,plant operators, rangers, cleaners, project managers, landscapearchitects, administrators, regulators and their managers andleaders.
About the position
As a Gardener, you will be responsible for undertaking skilled gardening duties to ensuredelivery of the desired standards of service in the qualitymaintenance of Council parks and gardens.
In this position, you will workunder general supervision.

What you'd bring
WHS Competency (
WhiteCard
) for CPCWHS**** Prepare to work safely in theconstruction industry, or equivalent.
Certificate II in Horticultureor demonstrated experience in a relevant industry is highlydesirable.
Current 'MR' Class Driver'sLicence is highly desirable.
ACDC (Agricultural ChemicalsDistribution Control) Spraying certificate is desirable.
Chainsaw Crosscut Level 2 isdesirable.
