About the Role
This Electrical Project Engineer role sits with an established Australian supplier of specialist high-voltage equipment to the transmission, distribution and renewable energy sectors.
You'll manage HV equipment packages including instrument transformers, switchgear retrofits, protection relays and transformer accessories from client enquiry and technical specification through to manufacture, delivery and after-sales support.
Reporting to the General Manager with technical guidance from a Senior Project Engineer, you'll work with a good degree of autonomy on assigned packages while dealing directly with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants and international manufacturers on network-critical infrastructure projects.

Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience, between
$140,000 and $160,000 per annum, plus superannuation and bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Manage high-voltage equipment packages from client enquiry through to project closeout
Review client specifications, drawings,



single-line diagrams and technical schedules to coordinate compliant supplier solutions
Review supplier design and documentation for compliance with Australian Standards and IEC requirements
Manage technical queries, RFIs, deviations and variations across the project lifecycle
Coordinate manufacture, factory acceptance testing, logistics, installation and commissioning
Prepare budget pricing, quotations, tender responses and RFP submissions
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, or Power Engineering
Experience in electrical project engineering on HV equipment, substations, transmission or power infrastructure
Working knowledge of HV primary equipment such as, transformers, instrument transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS, circuit breakers, protection relays
Experience reviewing technical specifications, drawings and supplier documentation
Experience preparing tenders, quotations and budget pricing
Full Australian working rights and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Desirable:
Experience managing equipment packages through FAT, logistics, installation or commissioning
Exposure to renewable energy, BESS or network augmentation projects
Experience on 66kV-500kV substation or transmission projects
Familiarity with CRM/project management software.
