We assist individuals, families and businesses with skilled migration, student visas, employer-sponsored programs and related legal matters at Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia and Tribunals.
About the role
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Sydney office. Working closely with our solicitors and registered migration agents, you'll play a key role in preparing, managing and progressing client matters from lodgement through to decision. This is an excellent chance for someone who thrives in a fast-paced professional environment and is keen to build a career at the intersection of law and migration.
Key responsibilities
Draft correspondence, submissions and legal documents under solicitor/agent supervision
Manage client files, maintain accurate records and monitor key deadlines and lodgement dates
Liaise with clients,
the Department of Home Affairs and other stakeholders professionally and promptly
Conduct research on migration and legal matters to support case preparation
Assist with general practice administration and file management as required
About you
A qualification in law, legal studies, paralegal studies or a related field (completed or in progress)
Prior experience in a legal, migration or professional services environment (highly regarded)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Well-organised, able to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning practice/case-management systems
