Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
Status: Part-Time and Full-Time
Schedule: Saturday Day/Evening Doubles AND Full-Time NOC August / September

Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides basic nursing care, including vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and assisting residents with daily activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Basic Nursing Care:
Vital Signs:Accurately measure and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respirations.
Medication Administration:Administer medications as prescribed by a physician, following facility protocols and under the supervision of an RN.
Wound Care:Perform wound care, including changing dressings and monitoring for signs of infection.
Hygiene and Mobility:Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and mobility.
Nutrition and Hydration:Ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration, assisting with feeding if necessary.
Patient Monitoring:
Patient History:Record a patient's history and current condition.
Observation:Observe and document changes in a resident's condition, reporting any concerns to the RN.
Communication:Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Collaboration and Supervision:
RN Supervision:Work under the supervision of an RN, following their guidance and instructions.
CNA Supervision:Supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in providing basic nursing care.
Teamwork:Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care.
Other Duties:
Patient Safety:Maintain a safe workplace for residents, following infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.
Documentation:Accurately document all care provided, including medications administered, vital signs, and any observations.
Emotional Support:Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in this state.
Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.
Prefer experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting.
Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
