About the role:
If successful, you will supportthe Director Strategic Policy, Performance and Quality in leadingkey evidence informed policy development, strategic initiatives,research, innovation and continuous improvement across theEducation Portfolio.
The role develops evidence-informed policy,undertakes research and evaluation, leads strategic projects,identifies emerging opportunities, and supports the adoption ofinnovative and technology-enabled solutions that enhance learneroutcomes, organisational performance, and service delivery.
Workingcollaboratively across the organisation and with externalstakeholders, the role contributes to strategic planning,evidence-based decision‐making, and continuous improvement tostrengthen the quality,
sustainability and future readiness of AMESAustralia's education programs.
To be considered for thisrole, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
Degree in Education,Community Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, orBusiness with proven research experience; AND A minimum of 5years' experience in policy development andinnovation
Demonstrated experienceleading complex strategic projects involving multiplestakeholders.
Demonstrated understandingof contemporary trends in educational technology, dataanalytics, digital learning and AI applications in education,training or community service environments.
Demonstrated successfulanalytical skills with an ability to interpret data, generateinsights and translate findings into practical recommendations,and to think strategically in a competitiveenvironment
Ability to source, gather,synthesise and document models, evidence and examples fromacross an organisation for use in policy responses andtenders
Excellent writing skills toproduce clear, concise and well organised text for a range ofpurposes and audiences
Sound knowledge ofsettlement, education, training and employment policy contextsand an ability to apply these to policy work andtenders
Excellent communicationskills to establish and maintain relationships with keyinternal and external stakeholders
Strong project managementskills to lead and motivate a team and ensure projects aredelivered on time and to a high standard
Demonstrated ability tomanage staff including performance reviews and demonstratedcapacity to provide leadership mentoring andsupport
Demonstrated organisationalskills that facilitate the production of high- qualitydocuments within specified time lines
Ability to workindependently and flexibly to achieve results in fluid policycontexts as well as contribute to a team
Capacity and willingness tolearn new skills and incorporate new knowledge and work in newareas
Demonstrated positive valuesof integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism anddemonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvementprinciples
