My client is a leading national law firm with a reputation built on deep insurance and commercial litigation expertise. Their Sydney Insurance team advises leading insurers, self-insureds, and government bodies on complex CTP, general liability, and professional indemnity claims, including catastrophic injury, large-scale property, and coverage disputes.

As the team continues to grow, they're seeking a Senior Associate within the firm's General Insurance and CTP practice, working closely with partners and clients on some of the most significant matters in the market.

About the role:

You’ll manage a portfolio of complex insurance litigation matters from instruction through to resolution, with autonomy and direct exposure to key insurer relationships. You’ll also play a role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice as it continues to expand.

Key responsibilities:
Independently manage a caseload of CTP, general liability, and qualified indemnity claims




Provide strategic advice to insurer and self-insured clients on complex and catastrophic claims
Appear in court and at mediations, negotiating outcomes on behalf of clients
Mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals within the team
Contribute to business development and client relationship management

About you:
5+ years' PAE in insurance litigation (CTP, general liability, or professional indemnity)
Current NSW practising certificate
Strong technical knowledge of the Motor Accident Injuries Act and related CTP legislation
Proven ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
