Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role foraTelecommunications Technician.
You'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining communications cabling and network infrastructure across a range of projects.
Scope includes rough-in and fit-off of communications systems, including troubleshooting, commissioning, servicing,maintenance, and repair ofexisting installations.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic)
Install communications hardware including racks, patch panels, outlets, and cable management systems
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on communications systems
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans,



and specifications
Complete testing and certification documentation to industry standards
Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
Liaise professionally with clients, site supervisors, and team members
Successful Candidate Must Have:
Proven experience as a Communications Technician, Data Cabler, or similar role
Strong Site Experience
Strong knowledge of structured cabling and communications infrastructure
Experience with fibre optic installation and testing (highly regarded)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
White Card (required)
Open Cabling Registration (ACMA) with relevant endorsements (required)
Current driver's licence (required)
Security licence (desirable)
