We're looking for an experienced engineer to join a major enterprise transformation program, developing high-volume, mission-critical integration services that support millions of customer interactions. You'll work within a collaborative Agile workplace, designing and delivering modern microservices while leveraging the latest cloud and DevOps technologies.
This is an excellent prospect to work on a complex enterprise platform using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes and Kafka, alongside a highly experienced engineering team.
About the Role
As a Senior Java / API Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and delivering enterprise-grade integration services. You'll remain hands-on throughout the software development lifecycle while contributing to engineering best practices, solution design and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices
Build secure, scalable REST APIs and enterprise integration services
Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka
Deliver cloud-native applications on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS)
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation
Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimise application performance
Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners and engineering teams
Contribute to modern software engineering standards across the platform
