We are seeking a dedicated Mail Officer/Freight Handler to join our team. As a Mail Officer/Freight Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting and processing mail items while adhering to company standards and procedures. This position includes repetitive manual handling tasks of parcels between 10-16kg.

Responsibilities
Sort and process mail items according to set procedures and guidelines
Operate mail processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely processing of mail items
Monitor and report any issues with mail sorting equipment or processes
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily processing targets

Qualifications
Robust attention to detail and good communication skills both written & verbal




Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
Good physical fitness, as this role involves lifting, twisting and bending with parcels up to 16kg
Ability to pass functional assessment and drug & alcohol test
Must possess a current transparent Police Check (3 months) or ability to obtain on
Flexibility across various shifts
Previous experience as a mail sorter or in a similar role is advantageous

Successful candidates must have full Australian working rights. will be required to attend a face to face interview and undergo a police check and drug and alcohol screen as part of the employment process.
