The Opportunity
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with the P‐8A Poseidon Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh, you will be hands‐on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing, and fault‐finding on aircraft systems.
You will:
Collaborate with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion
Ensure compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations
Foster effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
Maintain Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices
Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well‐being of all personnel
What you will bring to BDA
As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:
Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Avionics or Structures)
Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
Hold a current driver's licence
Desirable
Previous experience working with Military aircraft
Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
This role may require travel and periods working away from home.

Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA.
This requires disclosure of all relevant information and verification of your background from birth to present time.
