Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their team and play a key role in delivering premium residential builds.
The Prospect
This is an excellent opportunity for a Leading Hand Carpenter looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a future Site Supervisor / Foreman role.
Working closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, you will be responsible for leading carpentry teams onsite, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor carpenters and apprentices onsite, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained.
Complete high-end carpentry works across architectural new builds, renovations, and extensions.
Interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
Coordinate daily tasks, materials,
and workflow with site management.
Oversee subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
Complete detailed structural and finishing carpentry works including framing, roofing, cladding, doors, flooring, and bespoke timber elements.
Assist with maintaining project timelines and delivering exceptional finishes.
About You
Qualified Carpenter with minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience.
Strong background leading high-end residential projects.
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Carpenter, or someone ready to step into a leadership role.
Strong understanding of residential construction processes from structure through to completion.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
Excellent attention to detail with a passion for quality craftsmanship.
Reliable, organised, and confident managing onsite responsibilities.
Certificate IV in Building & Construction is highly desirable but not essential.
