Rollingstock Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)
Company Overview:
Our valued key turn transport services national client who operates throughout Australia & who is responsible for the supply, operation, and maintenance of the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 network.
They are seeking skilledMechanical Techniciansto support our light rail vehicle (LRV) maintenance team during a period of increased workload.Role Tasks & Duties:
The role includes, but is not limited to:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Light Rail Vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in rollingstock systems
Support vehicle handovers and incident recovery procedures
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards
Assist in on-the-job training and knowledge sharing
Participate in rotating on-call rosters and shift work
Maintain a secure, clean, and compliant work workplace
Collaborate with operations and asset management teams to meet KPIs
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:




Certificate III in Mechanical Engineeringor similar mechanical trade qualification
Certificate IV or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
Minimum 3 years of rollingstock experience (required for Level 5 pay rate)
Solid understanding of rail vehicle mechanical systems (Urbos 100 or equivalent preferred)
Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office suite
Emergency response experience highly regarded
Willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call as required

What's On Offer?
Hourly Rate:Level 4 – $*****/hr (for Cert III qualified candidates)
Level 5 – $*****/hr (for Cert III + 3+ years rollingstock experience)
Shifts:Rotating Day/Night Roster.
Location:Rosehill – Parramatta Light Rail Depot.
Team Environment:Work with experienced rail professionals in a modern facility
Duration:Initial 12 - 6X Months contract on offer, with an immediate start.
