Licensed Crowd Controller | Full-Time
North Shore Tavern is seeking a reliable, skilled and approachable Licensed Crowd Controller to join our team.
We are a busy, family-friendly community hotel with a strong focus on providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our patrons.
Our venue generally experiences a low level of security incidents, so this role is best suited to someone who understands that effective crowd control is about prevention, awareness and positive patron engagement, not simply responding to conflict.
This is a full-time role offering a varied roster across days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
During quieter periods, you will also work alongside the broader venue team and assist with general operational duties.
Qualifications and Training Required, or Willingness to Obtain:
• Current Queensland Crowd Controller Security Licence
• Current Queensland RSA
• Certificate II in Security Operations
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a visible, professional and approachable presence throughout the venue




• Conduct regular patrols to support a safe and secure environment
• Welcome patrons and contribute to a positive customer experience
• Monitor patron behaviour and identify potential issues before they escalate
• Enforce venue policies and Queensland licensing requirements calmly and consistently
• Work closely with management and venue staff
• Provide assistance to patrons and team members where required
• Support general venue operations during quieter periods
• Respond to incidents confidently and professionally when required
