Making a difference
As the Activation Support Officer, you will help bring events, tourism and cultural experiences to life across Central Goldfields Shire.
Working as part of the Tourism, Economy & Culture team, you will support the delivery of community events, activations and visitor engagement initiatives that encourage visitation, strengthen local business participation and enhance community vibrancy.
You will play a key role in promoting the region, supporting tourism operators and event organisers, assisting with destination marketing activities, and helping create positive experiences for residents and visitors alike.
Your work will contribute to the success of flagship events, support local economic development and help showcase everything Central Goldfields has to offer




We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic team player who is passionate about events, tourism, community activation and customer service.
You will bring experience in events, tourism, marketing, visitor services or stakeholder engagement, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
You will be confident working with businesses, community groups, tourism operators and event stakeholders, and have the ability to coordinate multiple activities while responding to changing priorities.
Experience using Microsoft Office, social media and digital communication platforms will be highly regarded, together with a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.
Qualifications in Events, Tourism, Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience, will be advantageous.
