Business Development & Sales Manager, Venue Partnerships
Business Development & Sales Manager, Venue Partnerships
Strong Base + Genuinely Uncapped Earning Potential
We're not looking for someone who waits for opportunities.
We're looking for someone who creates them.
VendBooths is building Australia's largest network of automated photo experiences, partnering with high‐footfall family destinations across the country — shopping centres, indoor play centres, holiday parks, resorts, tourist attractions and entertainment venues, creating memorable experiences for hundreds of thousands of families every year.
We're looking for an experienced business development professional who knows how to open doors, build relationships at a commercial level, and convert opportunities into signed partnerships.
The role calls for more than a positive pitch.
We want someone who knows how to earn a decision‐maker's attention — and exactly what to do with it once they have it.
The Opportunity
Your mandate is transparent:
Identify strong venues.
Get in front of the right people.
Build the relationship.
Close the partnership.
Target locations
Indoor play and family entertainment centres
Holiday parks and resorts
Shopping centres
Tourist attractions
Zoos and aquariums
Adventure and theme parks
Other high‐footfall family destinations
This isn't a capital‐outlay sale — you're not asking venues to commit tens of thousands of dollars.
We supply the equipment, manage installation, service the machines and run the entire experience end to end.
What you're offering venue operators is a professionally branded customer experience that creates lasting memories for their guests, alongside a new, entirely hands‐off revenue stream.
That's a materially different conversation to most B2B sales roles, and one worth approaching with real commercial care.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll own the growth of our venue network end to end — from identifying the opportunity through to signed agreement and rollout.
That includes prospecting, identifying the right decision‐makers, developing tailored proposals, running meetings and site inspections, negotiating terms, and building long‐term relationships with venue operators and property groups.
You'll also work directly with our team on larger multi‐site partnerships and national rollouts.
We're looking for genuine commercial rigour here — proper account planning, a well‐managed pipeline, considered proposals.
Alongside that, we want someone prepared to think differently about how they get in the door.
That might mean building a tailored concept for a target venue before they've taken your call.
Finding a sharper way to reach a decision‐maker everyone else struggles to access.
Or identifying a partnership angle nobody else in the market has considered.
You'll have the freedom, and our backing, to exercise judgement on how you approach the right people.
If you've got an unconventional way to open a national account, we want to hear it — and if it stacks up, we'll back you to run it.
The Earning Potential
Your earning potential here is governed by one thing only: your ability to create and close opportunities.
This isn't a role where you hit target and then discover your commission has a ceiling.
You'll receive a strong base salary plus genuinely uncapped performance incentives, structured so that the larger the partnership, the greater the reward.
Land individual venues, and you're rewarded.
Break into a major venue group, and you're rewarded further.
Help secure a national rollout across dozens of sites, and that's a materially different outcome again.
There is no artificial ceiling.
As VendBooths grows, the upside for the person driving that growth grows with it.
If you're looking for a comfortable, predictable salary, this isn't the role for you.
If you want your earnings to reflect the opportunities you went out and created, this is built for you.
Who We're Looking For
You'll likely bring a background in business development, commercial property, vending, entertainment, advertising, sponsorships, or another B2B sales environment — though your specific industry background matters far less to us than your ability to open doors and close deals.
You know how to navigate gatekeepers and reach senior decision‐makers.
You're confident presenting, negotiating and closing at a commercial level.
You build genuine, long‐term relationships rather than transactional ones, and you spot opportunities others walk past.
The other half of this role matters just as much: disciplined pipeline management.
At any given time you'll likely have multiple venue groups, individual sites, proposals, meetings and negotiations moving in parallel — and we expect you to know precisely where each one stands.
Nothing falls through because a follow‐up was missed.
Your CRM is well maintained, your pipeline is prioritised, and your follow‐ups happen when you say they will, because none of the door‐opening matters if a deal doesn't get carried across the line.
We're looking for someone who:
Has genuine B2B sales or business development experience, ideally with a track record of closing partnerships or commercial agreements
Can manage a large, complex pipeline without letting anything slip
Is comfortable engaging senior stakeholders directly, including cold outreach
Knows how to navigate gatekeepers and reach genuine decision‐makers
Thinks commercially and creatively about breaking into major venue groups and national chains
Builds real relationships, not just transactions
Is confident negotiating and closing
Takes full ownership of their pipeline and their results
We're not just looking for someone who can sell once they're in the room.
We want someone sharp enough to earn the meeting in the first place, and disciplined enough to ensure it doesn't go cold.
Why VendBooths
We're building a business with serious national growth ambitions, and you'd be joining at a stage where you can genuinely shape what happens next.
We're a small, fast‐moving team.
Good ideas are backed quickly, and there are no unnecessary layers slowing things down.
We want someone who takes ownership, thinks independently, and wants to help build something substantial — not step into a playbook someone else has already written.
This Role Isn't For You If...
You need leads handed to you
You avoid cold outreach
You give up after a second follow‐up
Your pipeline lives in your head rather than a CRM
You confuse activity with progress
Your idea of business development is a mail‐merge and a hope
