ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a part-time Junior Software Developer to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a university student currently studying Computer Science or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on industry experience while continuing their studies.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in software development, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently when investigating technical challenges.
We value candidates who have built personal projects, maintain a GitHub portfolio, or can demonstrate practical experience through projects.
Experience with Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, APIs, databases, Git, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is beneficial but not essential.




We are particularly interested in applicants who can explain the technical decisions behind projects they have built, demonstrate how they have solved difficult problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting in the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications, automation tools, and internal business systems.
The role contributes to software development projects, system integrations, and business process automation initiatives.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Currently studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field
Genuine interest in software development
Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to investigate issues independently
Valuable written communication skills
Attention to detail
Reliable and able to follow through on tasks
Able to self-manage and meet deadlines
No adverse findings resulting from criminal history check (i.e. AFP National Police Check for working with children or no unsuitable findings by the Department National Investigations Unit)
Hold a current and valid Working with Children Blue Card
