Ongoing Role - Shifts available 6 days a weekMinimum 4 hour commitment each weekPrior experience sorting donated goods is desirable but not required The opportunity Volunteering at the Red Cross Shop in Orange, in a back-of-house capacity.
By joining you will be assisting the team with the processing of donations.
This May Include Sorting donations into saleable and non-saleable productHanging productsTagging products that have been sortedSteaming garmentsBoxing up markdown items and excess.
This is a multi-focal volunteer position, to assist in the sorting of high levels of donations, boxing up excess product, and processing stock deemed suitable for sale at this shop.
Please note, this role is a behind the scenes role and does not involve working on the shop floor serving customers.
Moving boxes and manual handling up to 10kg will be required.

Each year, we rescue **** tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to **** volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world.
The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.
