About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Auditor to join us on a part-time basis in Bundaberg.
This position is integral to our audit offering where you will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality financial audit services.
This role offers flexibility and the prospect to work with a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key responsibilities
Conducting financial audits in accordance with professional audit standards and firm policies
Planning audit procedures to assess the accuracy, validity and completeness of accounting records
Documenting and assessing internal control systems
Executing audit procedures to test transactions, balances and reconciliations to verify accuracy, validity and completeness
Preparing detailed working papers documenting audit evidence and conclusions
Liaising with clients, and/or Accountants, to obtain necessary documentation and explanations
Preparation of financial reports




Monitoring the progress of audits from receipt of accounting records to signing of the financial reports
What we're looking for
General accounting / bookkeeping knowledge, professional accounting qualification or equivalent not essential
Experience within a professional services environment
Proficient with office based work software
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and anomalies
Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements concurrently
Reliability and flexibility to accommodate part-time working arrangements and varying client demands
Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards
