About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend most of your day on the tools while also helping support the smooth operation of the workshop.
Your responsibilities will include:
Servicing, diagnosing and repairing earthmoving equipment, trucks and diesel machinery.




Carrying out fault finding and complex mechanical repairs.
Assisting with coordinating daily workshop workflow.
Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency and safety.
Working closely with the owners and office team regarding job progress, scheduling and parts requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, organisation and processes.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys producing quality work, takes pride in what you do and likes being part of a positive team.
Ideally you'll have:
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
Experience servicing and repairing earthmoving equipment, trucks and heavy diesel machinery.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
The ability to work independently and assist others when needed.
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team's success.
Excellent communication skills.
A current driver's licence (HR licence highly regarded).
Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is welcomed but
not essential
