The Company is seeking a Head of Legal and Governance to join their team.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Leadership Team, providing expert legal and strategic advice on a range of matters including property, development, finance, construction, and compliance.
This role is pivotal in driving strategic decision-making and ensuring that risks are proactively identified and managed.
The Head of Legal and Governance will also be responsible for establishing and leading the in-house legal function, overseeing the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, and processes to support good governance, and providing end-to-end support on complex legal issues.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) with an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate, a minimum of 8 years' post-admission experience in a relevant industry,



and a strong background in commercial law.
The role requires a proactive and practical approach, the ability to engage with both strategic and operational activities, and a proven track record in managing risks and solving problems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a small team, managing external legal advisors, and be adept at communicating complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
A team-oriented working style and a commitment to integrity are essential for this position.
